Tool #4

I thing Google docs and forms are going to make it easier for our team to share and work on items that we all use in the classroom and planning on team stuff. We are all going to easily modify documents.

I want to start using Google forms in the classroom to have students complete forms and to do quick learning checkpoints.

Tool #3

I searched on KidsTube and found this video on what plants need to survive.

I also found the following video on foods that plants make.

There is a wealth of videos on TeacherTube and SchoolTube as well that are valuable resources in the classroom. As far a copyright and fair use laws, I learned that as long as we are not copying entire works and are publishing within a secure location to use as a teaching resource we are allowed to use material.

Using Picasa web albums I can find pictures on a lot of topics that I teach and show those to students. On my search I saw really neat landforms and birds pictures that can help students better understand those topics.

Tool #2

So far I've liked checking other people's blogs and commenting on them. From my reading, I liked the advice on asking questions on one's posts to perhaps motivate people to comment on posts.

Technology Tidbits: Thoughts of a Cyber Hero (http://cyber-kap.blogspot.com/) is a blog I'll keep checking. Last Thursday's post was great!

Tool #1

So far, creating a blog and adding the avatar, has been quite an easy experience. I have not had any challenges yet and look forward to continue with the 11 tools.
