Tool #10

1. Discuss at least three things you would want to make sure your students understand about being good digital citizens.
Our students need to understand how to use internet safely. I believe I must also teach them the importance of copyright and fair use. Finally, I think it is highly important that we teach our students that just because we find it online it doesn't mean that it is correct/true and that we need to identify which are trusted places to find information.

2. Share at least one of the resources mentioned above or on the Ed Tech website that you plan to use instructionally.
I plan on using the Brain Pop resource on Digital Citizenship to help my students with the concept.

3. Explain briefly how you would "teach" the idea of digital citizenship to your students.
After showing the Brain Pop Video on digital citizenship we will discuss what being a good digital citizen is and what it entails.

4. Explain briefly how you plan to share the idea of digital citizenship with your parents.
I think that through our classroom's wall and a newsletter we can inform parents about what digital citizenship is.
